Alex Kim

I just saw this poster for the May Hearts & Crafts Affair. It is incredible (as expected), which inspired me to write a little about the artist – Alex Kim.

Alex has been drinking coffee with us since 2005. In fact, he was one of the friends that helped build the original counter in Greenpoint. From those humble beginnings, he left for Vermont to draw, but now he is back in NYC.

His first graphic novel, Wall City, was awarded the Xeric grant in 2008. See more of his work here.
