Coffee wars: New cult-hit java joints are brewing a big city rivalry

Grumpy opened its first cafe in Greenpoint in November 2005 and has since opened two more, in Chelsea and Park Slope, and also started a roasting facility in the back of the Greenpoint cafe last September.”
