Talking over coffee
Our regulars are used to a lot of activity at the cafés. Most of it goes unnoticed or undocumented, but I wanted to share this special one with you. Last week, our Chelsea store was the setting of an interview with Gabourey Sidibe from the movie “Precious.” If you haven’t seen the movie yet, check it out.
Watch the interview here.

Making delicious things in Brooklyn
Sometimes people are surprised that the more they learn about coffee the more they appreciate what goes into the preparation of their morning cup. We always talk about coffee but it is refreshing to explore how other delicious things are prepared – especially when they are happening right down the street.
I just came across this video of the infamous SCRATCHbread scones being made. Take a look here and watch another hands-on process unfold….then come in to our Park Slope location and taste them!

Leaves are falling and holidays are approaching.
We just received an early present – a fabulous fall planter designed by our friends at Sprout Home to brighten up our Greenpoint store.
If you haven’t been to Sprout – check it out. Its on Grand street in neighboring Williamsburg. You’ll find a beautiful green oasis with great plants, home accessories and gifts.
