Join our community of NYC coffee shops & roasters for a party to welcome the NERBC to town! There will be a latte art throw-down (with incredible prizes including a trip to Brazil), DJ, dancing and more.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 9th from 8pm-12am at the Highline Loft at 508 West 26th Street, 5th Floor.

This past weekend, some of us had the opportunity to head up to Boston (Somerville to be precise) to watch the North East Regional Barista Competition.

For those of you curious as to what this entailed, there is a great video piece by Abbey Niezgoda that you can watch here (which includes a small interview with Jordan).

Grumpy opened its first cafe in Greenpoint in November 2005 and has since opened two more, in Chelsea and Park Slope, and also started a roasting facility in the back of the Greenpoint cafe last September.”
