Time Out For Hunger – 3/28

We don’t usually need a reason to drink good coffee, but in case you need an extra nudge to get out and about this weekend, Sunday is Time Out For Hunger. We will be donating 10% percent of the day’s sales in Chelsea to the Food Bank For New York City. Bring a friend in for a coffee…or bring a few.

Coffee wars: New cult-hit java joints are brewing a big city rivalry

“The newcomers may be getting all the attention, but small New York coffee producers like Cafe Grumpy are sanguine about the out-of-towners. Grumpy opened its first cafe in Greenpoint in November 2005 and has since opened two more, in Chelsea and Park Slope, and also started a roasting facility in the back of the Greenpoint cafe last September.”
